99.9% of the privacy policy you read online are painfully boring, complicated and long. Over here, we try to simplify it for everyone, so even a toddler can understand what data of theirs is being collected, and how their data is used. Here we go!

Our privacy & data policy is divided into six parts. They are as follows:

i. Data we collect

When you browse our website (dateaffirmthereal.com), we’ll collect basic info such as your IP address and location. This helps us understand where you’re accessing our website from.

When you sign up on our website, we collect the following: name, billing and shipping address (usually state, ZIP and country), email address and phone number. These information help identify each unique user in our system. We also use these details to process orders.

ii. Why we collect your data

It is necessary for us to collect to your data, in order to successfully process and ship your orders. Without this information, we cannot validate your orders. We also use this data to notify you of your order status, and to, from time to time, send you promotional messages if you opted in.

iii. What we do with your data

We do NOT, under any circumstances sell your data. Your personal information is solely used to provide essential services on our website, which would otherwise not be possible. We make sure of the latest and most secure encryption methods to keep your information safe, and out of the way of unscrupulous elements.

iv. Transparency about tracking

We may use tools like Google Analytics or other analytics tools to track your movement across our webpages. This helps us better understand how responsive our website is, how long users spend on our website, what they purchase, and so on. We don’t feature any ads

We also use cookies to remember your sessions. For example, keeping you logged into our website, remembering what you have in your cart and or favorites.

v. How secure is your data?

Your data with us is 100% safe. We always encourage you to use strong passwords and turn on 2FA when signing up on our website, as these are harder to hack in event of a data breach. We also store your data safely using AES 256 encryption – which simply means one of the highest level of data protection that exists.

Additional steps we take to protect your shopping experience include firewalls that filter out bad requests and SSL security on every page, to ensure every single information you are sending on our website is kept out of reach of bad actors.

vi. How we handle credit cards & payments

We NEVER store credit cards on our website. This is for two reasons:

1. To provide the maximum level of security to our customers in case of a data breach

2. To comply fully with PCI-DSS specifications

All credit card payments are handled off-site by our Payment Partner, Stripe. When you choose to save your credit or debit card to your account for future purchases, we only remember the last 4 digits, and require verification every time you checkout.
